MADEL WILDLIFE SANCTUARY:
Located in sattari Taluka this sanctuary covers 208 sq. kms at  northern extremity Of the western ghats in Goa. It is another rich reservoir of bio-diversity in the state harbouring more than a thousand species of flowering plants and a vast variety of endemic orchids. A number of sacred groves are known to exist here. It is the only place in the world where the wroughton’s free tailed bar resides.

Easiest approach: Panaji – 70 kms; Dabolim- 110 kms; Margao- 106kms.
